An eclectic turn
I grew up absorbing my Dad’s 70s rock music collection and also found a love for Americana after he ventured on a work trip to the US.
In my teens music took an eclectic turn, playing in bands and finding inspiration in singer-songwriters, alt-rock, punk & indie. I studied jazz at Leeds Conservatoire (formerly Leeds College of Music) and spent several years touring the UK and Europe with Dancing Years.
For nearly 10 years, I toured globally in the acclaimed theater show Beatlemania: The Magic of the Beatles. I still perform regularly at The Cavern Club with The Cavern Club Beatles and have worked on the West End tour of Let It Be.

Recently, I’ve performed with LYR and British Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, Ted Sablay of The Killers, and renowned poet, playwright, and rapper Testament.

Alongside producing and mixing for other artists, I create my own music with a vintage flair and released The Hootenanny Plays the Music of Ron Ryan in 2022.

I compose music for production companies like Music Vine and Uppbeat and have worked with major labels like Universal Music Group and Sony BMG, along with brands such as Nando’s, Tanqueray, and Drambuie.
I spend my free time hanging out with my lovely wife and kids and watching the occasional game of rugby league (you’ve got no choice ‘Up North’!).
